Screenshot Floating Thumbnail Not Showing

I use this feature a lot, but I can't work out why it doesn't show sometimes, even though I have the option checked on.

Hey there NJD-Maw,

We'd like to help get those screenshot thumbnails showing every time, so let's start ruling out some possible causes:

  1. First, we recommend a restart. Check out the section 'Restart' here: Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac
  2. We see you have macOS Mojave installed, but the latest version for it is macOS Mojave 10.14.6. You can verify the version number installed by clicking on the Apple logo at the top left corner of the screen, then on ‘About This Mac’. Here's how to first Back up your Mac with Time Machine, and afterwards, here's How to update the software on your Mac.
  3. You mentioned this only occurs sometimes. Another thing to rule out is if this only occurs while using a specific app/feature.
  4. Just in case, this link shows how to Update apps or use automatic downloads.

Take care.
