Late 2015 iMac crashing

Hello, trying to see if my 2015 iMac is salvageable or not. Lots of freezing and crashing. Attaching the EtreCheck report. Looks like I could have some hardware failing but wondering if there was a way to find out what hardware?

The best antivirus, cleaning app, and overall maintenance app for Mac OS is Mac OS itself. All you need to do with Mac OS to keep it secure and running well is to keep it up-to-date and do periodic (about 1x per week) restarts. Other than that, leave it alone. Adding third party antivirus, cleaning, security and other types of maintenance apps to Mac OS adds no additional level of security. The only thing these apps do is have the opposite affect users want. They make Mac OS slow, unstable, generate odd behavior (much like you are experiencing) and make Mac OS appear buggy.

Please locate the developers uninstall instructions for Bitdefender and follow to the letter. Then restart in Safe Mode per the directions in Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac and then restart normally.

Also, there is no evidence you backup the computer. This is shortsighted and a 100% guarantee you will lose data. Begin using Time Machine ASAP. Also, your computer has been suffering from Kernel Panics so you need to see if uninstalling Bitdefender will help solve that problem.

Thank you! This computer is managed through an IT group with my employer, so Bitdefender was their install. I use Time Machine to back up my personal computer but nearly everything I use on this machine is saved via Cloud so it doesn't concern me as much to use Time Machine on this. I appreciate your response and will see if removing Bitdefender helps.

I do understand what Time Machine is used for. if this hard drive fried 5 minutes from now and was unusable, I wouldn't be concerned. Therefore, it is not a priority for me to have TM set up and running.

I use Acrobat DC, not Reader, which is still a current product. If I have an older version installed that I'm unaware of, I will remove.

Thank you, again.

iCloud is a storage system used in order to make your documents available to you on all of your devices. It is NOT a backup system, Time Machine is.

Your report also shows:

Time Machine Not Configured! so please ensure it's plugged in and working as it should.

Also, on further review your computer has Adobe Acrobat installed. Adobe has discontinued Acrobat and you shoudl uninstall per Adobe's instructions per their recommendations.

Finally, as stated Bitdefender should be uninstalled. If it isn't then you will likely continue to have problems.
