Just plug it into your iPad and start using it!
Plug-in USB-C hubs for newer iPad Pro and 2020 iPad Air 4 models need no drivers/device managers or any other software.
Best of Luck to You!`

No types of CD/DVD/Blu-ray optical/laser drives have EVER worked with ANY iPad!
This has never, ever been possible and never will.
iOS/iPadOS has no built-in/coded-in drivers for any type of optical drive use and there is no possible way to and such code/drivers to be able to use such a drive and the power requirements needed to use such optical drives is far beyond the internal power supply limits of any iPad model.
No iPad, currently, is even close to a full featured, pre-emptive multitasking laptop or desktop computer.
Currently, any iPad model is still only a companion device to any full featured computer.
Sorry.
I hear the CD drive connect but it won’t accept a CD/DVD and no device icon shows on the screen.
I don't believe that iPads can use CD/DVD drives at all.
