Red tint on low brightness iPhone X
Hi there, the screen seems to have a slight red tint to it when my iPhone X’s screen is dimmed. Is this a common issue or is there something wrong with my phone? TIA
Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!

Dudez02,
Got it.
We understand wanting to have you iPhone be in pristine condition. Before you head back to the store with it, you may want to also check out to see if True Tone is on or Night Shift is scheduled. This resource can help you do that:
Adjust the brightness on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you continue to have issues with it after that, visiting the store may be the best next step.
Take care!

Hi! Thanks for getting back to me- I’ve just checked and there’s no settings for colour filters enabled or any under the visuals section of the accessibility menu. My phone is second hand from a company and I’ve only had it a week- but just noticed this fairly recently as I like my phone to be really dim when I’m in bed at night. I was hoping that it could be software, however I’ll get in touch with the company that sold me the phone- as it was meant to be in a “pristine” condition- but maybe it isn’t so pristine inside... thank you again!
HI Dudez02,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with the display tint on your iPhone X. We'd like to help.
When did you notice this red tint on your display? Did you make any changes to your Settings around that time? It's possible that you have enabled Color Filters in your Accessibility Settings. Head to Settings > Accessibility > Color Filters to check: Use display and text size preferences on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
If that is not enabled, let us know if there is any physical or liquid damage to your iPhone as that can affect the display.
Hope that helps.
Aha! That’s solved it- I feel so stupid!!! True Tone is enabled, and when I disable True Tone, and lower the brightness- there is no red tint! Thank you so much for the helpful suggestions.
