I have the same problem with LG 5K 34WK95U, LG support tried to replace the matrix (display) 2 times and it did not help, next time they tried to replace the system plate of the monitor and did not help too. All were done in 2021. So there is some problem with nanoIPS technology. They offered money back, but in our country, only LG sells 5K TH3 monitors. So I will live with this monitor until Apple release a cheaper monitor than the current 6K XDR.

Hello t-birds,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities forum. It sounds like you're experiencing some issues with the video output when using your MacBook Pro and LG Ultrafine 5k display. We're glad to offer some steps to troubleshoot and get this working, and may have a few questions to guide properly.

What cable(s) are you using to connect the two hardware? Although the following article contains a lot of information, use the steps that apply to your situation, and keep us informed if you run into additional issues:

Include the 'Before you begin' section to ensure nothing gets overlooked. Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities forum.

Have a great weekend!

Hello t-birds,

Thanks for the update. Does the same issue occur if you boot your computer in Safe Mode? How to use safe mode on your Mac

Also, it's recommended to test the issue in another user to help isolate if the behavior is system-wide or user-specific. Here's how to create one:

Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

Does the issue occur without the external monitor connected?

Take care!
