Barlclays online banking not working

Hi I just upgraded to the new Macbook Pro 13" M1 2020. Big Sur. Version 11.0.1

When I go to Barclays Online it lets me in as normal, but as soon as I click an option it comes back with the following code Error 500: javax.servlet.ServletException: Filter [securityFilter]: filter is unavailable.

I went back to my macbook air and it works fine.

Has anyone got any idea's what the problem might be, is there a setting I should change?

Many thanks for the replies, since my first post I updated my Macbook Air & Pro to Big Sur. Version 11.2.1, and both now have the same problem with Barclays Online Banking. I tried them both on Chrome and firefox but still get the same problem. However I have since tried Safari and it works fine.

My conclusion is the Barclays Online Bank software is probably the problem, but I cannot rule out that Chrome & Firefox current versions are not totally compatible with Big Sur, as they both worked fine using Catalina.

To confirm after login in fine, if I selected any page from the menu I got a blank page with the following error message:

Error 500: javax.servlet.ServletException: Filter [securityFilter]: filter is unavailable.

I sent a support ticket to Google, but as expected they never replied. Barclays were also not very helpful suggesting I use the Mobile app to access the online banking.

As safari works OK, that is what I will use until this is sorted.

Thanks again for your suggestions.

I have the same problem with Firefox and Chrome, however it works most of the time with Safari. I'm convinced it's not the new M1 machines as Barclays Bank Online was working on my 2017 Macbook Air until I upgraded it to BigSur and now has the same problem. So to be frank it can only be a problem with the new Macos not being totally compatible with current Barclays Bank Online website.

So for normal internet browsing I'm using Chrome, and for online banking I use Safari.

Hopefully this will get sorted by Barclays but I'm not holding my breath. they seem to be more interested in their Mobile apps.

This is definitely a BIG SUR issue, I am a Microsoft Edge user and the same thing happened there. The only browser I can now use my banking on is Safari. Without doubt this is an Apple issue brought about by the BIG SUR upgrade. I have other issues with scanners not working since BIG SUR either, and yes I have installed the latest manufacturers drivers. Come on APPLE please get this sorted, I converted because of MS problems, now I am seeing the same thing :(

Many Thanks for your advice, I updated the Software to macOS 11.2.1
Tried Chrome, Firefox and Safari, they all let me in but selecting anything creates the error 500javax.servlet.ServletException: Filter [securityFilter]: filter is unavailable.

As of now I cannot use the Barclays online banking until this is fixed.
Fortunately my faithful Air still works OK.

Thanks again for your help.

There seems to have been a number of issues with the Big Sur MACos, however 11.3.0 is in beta at the moment which I hope will address some or all of the issues we are experiencing. Personally I am not a power user but I do expect my Mac programs to work as before or better, I am not a fan of Safari so full compatibility with chrome and Barclays Bank online is a must for me.
