desktop icon words in white. can I put in black?

how can I change the color of the text on my desktop icons from white to black?

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with changing the color of the text under an icon.


You could try the Invert Colors option in accessibility, but you may have to play around with selecting a new desktop picture that works best for the feature: Change Display preferences for accessibility on Mac


However, just simply changing the text color from white to black isn't a supported feature in macOS. You can leave Product Feedback.
