Reply to single person in group text

I believe that IdrisSeabright is correct. The green message bubble does seem to indicate that someone in the text group is using an Android phone. Replying to a specific person only works with iMessages. I have tested this myself.

Green means SMS. It can either be someone who does not have an Apple product or someone with an Apple product who choses not to use iMessage (there are a few of those around). It doesn't have to be an iPhone. You can iMessage from iPads and Macs as well.

I wonder if the reason is there is someone in the group who is not using iMessages. Or, if that specific person is not. Do you have any group texts were everyone is using iMessage?

I had to search for group iMessage only conversations because most of the people that I engage in with group conversations have Android phones. Most of those conversations involve sports. :)

Thanks, Demo. The only group chat I had on my phone was all iMessage people so I couldn't test the theory.

That must be my problem. I never talk about sports.
