Missing option to prefer external gpu

I am using a Sonnet EGPU with a Radeon RX570 (8GB), connected with Thunderbolt 3 on a 2018 Mac Mini, 32GB RAM 2667MHz, 3,2GHz processor. I do have "Prefer External GPU" menu in every app info box, except in iMovie. I've reset preferences, restarted Mac, tried to force using eGPU with set-egp.sh script with no luck... I'm exporting a 11GB movie with Intel UHD Graphics 630 with 1536MB... still waiting for Mac to finish. Very sad!

None gave a solution to the previous (and old) thread. Please help!!!

Included in the link that you posted is the following link from Apple support regarding eGPU. That's about all that I know about eGPU. Read through the link again, and Footnote No. 1 therein, and see if there is anything in there that might address your situation.
