Cannot get phone to charge

Phone will not connect to to the charger Just bought new phone yesterday

My iPhone 13 won’t charge My iPhone 13 won’t charge when connected to charger. However, when I turn the phone off then connect to the charger, the phone powers up so therefor the charger must be working. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
