Before a recent upgrade on my iMac (Big Sur 11.2.1, I'm sure there was a download icon in the menu bar that was permanently accessible. Not it seems to be there only when something is actively downloading. Also there was a very handy downloads icon in the dock which fanned out the downloads in date order. That seems to have disappeared being replaced by a full matrix of all downloads, so it's all but impossible to find stuff. Any guidance? Plse keep it simple....tech and the language of tech is a mystery to me!

Thanks. Safari 14.0.3 is the browser....I think the icon in the menu bar only occurs now when there's an active download...I'm pretty sure kit used to remain there. No matter...not. big deal. Dock now sorted thanks for your help.
