What happened to the elevation information when using the compass app on iOS.

I no longer receive the elevation info when I use the compass. All I get is the compass, the direction, the Latitude and longitude info, and the name of the city/town in which I am located. I used to also get the elevation but no longer. I have iOS 12.5.1.

Like I said I used to get the elevation, too, but no longer. I agree it is an old iPhone (6+) I most likely lost the elevation infor as a result of an upgrade.
