Accidental Water Damage - Worth it for repair?

I accidentally spilled water on my Macbook Pro. I've been waiting for about 3 days for it to dry, I also tried looking up every article on what to do with it. Almost every article said a repair was the only way for it to be fixed. However, I'm quite sure it will be expensive. One said a water damage repair cost her almost half the price of the device. If thats the case, I don't know if its still worth it. Should I repair, or just buy a new one. Thanks.
