Some music has no or very light vocals?

Certain songs, one in particular very noticeable, have really terrible balance. I'm listening on my iphone X, no headphones. There are almost no vocals on the song. I can hear them, but very very light. It's terrible. I've restarted the phone. I've downloaded it to my phone, so it's not streaming. I've tried it streaming. I've messed with the settings under "Music-Playback". Nothing works.

To be super specific, it's The Hollies, Carrie-Anne that's making me crazy. There are several versions of the song from several different albums, and the problem happens on all of them. My husband can play them all and they sound correct on his phone. What is the problem? I'm beyond frustrated.
