WebKit is the software engine that allows macOS to access the internet. Any app that wants to get out on the internet must use WebKit to do it. Safari uses WebKit to be able to browse for example. DNSResponder is the software that figures out how to get to a specific place on the internet. When a user types in www.nbc.com DNS (domain name server) queries a DNS server for the IP address of www.nbc.com . The internet only works on numbers, not text, so a website’s name has to be converted to a number, the IP address.

The log you see is perfectly normal.
