Notes lock password

Hope you are doing well.

I added a password to one of the notes when I first bought my iPhone in 2018. Since then, I accessed/unlocked the note with the Face ID. Recently I rested the Face ID feature, but the notes password did not unlock with the Face ID. It asked to enter the password, and when I did it notified me that the password was wrong. I tried changing the password multiple times, and entering that into the locked notes, but did not go through.

I tried shutting the iPhone, and updating the software, but both did not help.

I tried to do the same from my MacBook (changing password, updating software...etc) but did not work either.

How can I unlock the note with the 'right' password?

Note: I can enter the "wrong" password unlimited times, and notes will not block me from trying. I read online that this should not be this way, and after trying 5 times, the system will automatically ask me to reset my password for notes.
