Minecraft won't open

My Minecraft on my Mac won't open. It's not even crashing, it's just endlessly bouncing and nothing pops up. It just seems to be loading forever trying to open the application, but it can't. I've tried restarting my computer, re-downloading the application, updating my Java, and yet I still cannot find the solution to this issue.
