How to change wifi network appletv
I use the remote app on my iPhone. I need to change the network. On the tv it says choose settings then select network. I have no way to choose settings

The Apple Remote on your iPhone sends its commands through Wi-Fi and the home network. As such, it only works if they are on the same network. Then it isn’t possible to change the settings on a not-connected box this way.
Regardless of which remote you prefer in day to day use, I would recommend to have the Apple Remote (aluminum) available at least for emergency situations.
For the Apple TV (3rd generation), your options are:
- buy a replacement Apple Remote (aluminum);
- temporarily borrow an Apple Remote (aluminum) to help set up the software remote on your phone;
- restore the Apple TV and connect a wireless keyboard to help set up the software remote;
- restore the Apple TV and connect the CiderTV Mac app to help set up the software remote.
A replacement remote or borrowed remote will need to be linked to the box first.
