Use multiple apple IDs in messages / iMessage on BigSur

We have multiple apple IDs setup in Family sharing. We would like to have all of the phone numbers be available in the messages app when we use the Mac. Essentially, have the Mac logged into and allow any of the phone numbers send or receive messages on the Mac's messages app. Right now the only thing we can do is use the phone number associated with the apple ID that logged into the Mac.

We are on BigSur and the previous recommendations on Google regarding adding more accounts in messages do not appear to work as the accounts tab is missing in BigSur.

Hello mikies_nj,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

If we understand correctly, you have multiple Apple IDs in Family Sharing and you would like to have all the associated phone numbers available to send/receive text messages on your Mac. Currently you are only able to use the phone number associated with the Apple ID logged into the Mac. This is currently how it works. Text messages are sent/received with the contact numbers associated with the user/Apple ID signed in with on the computer. If you have another user on the Mac associated with a different Apple ID, then you would be able to sent/receive texts associated with that Apple ID. But it is limited to one Apple ID at a time, which ever is signed in to on the Mac.

Best regards.
