Blank Playlists on Music

I have some sort of bug that keeps creating empty playlists or duplicate playlists and I don’t know how to make it stop happening. Any ideas?

Hi there,

From what we can tell, you're seeing duplicate or blank playlists in Apple Music on your iPhone. We're glad you've connected with us in Apple Support Communities, and we'd like to learn more to see how we can help.

To start, are you using iTunes or Finder to sync content to your iPhone from a computer or do you download and access all content using the Apple Music app? What do you see when you tap on one of these playlists?

Have a look at this support article to learn more about making playlists:

How to make a playlist in the Apple Music app

Cheers.

Hey,

This is also happening on my desktop app as well. As you can see in the image it has created many, many smart playlists and also many regular playlists with nothing in them. If I delete them, they come back. I’ve signed in, signed out, changed my password, deauthorized my devices and whatever else I could think of.

Hi again,

It sounds like you're seeing this behavior on your desktop computer and after deleting these blank playlists, they come back. We'll need to learn more about the issue in order to find a solution.
