After upgrade to Big Sur, I can not record voice over in iMovie, but voice over works in pages, and keynote. Why is this?

Most likely you haven’ t enabled the microphone for iMovie. Go to System Preferences/Security & Privacy/Privacy and click on Microphone in the left sidebar. Then put a check next to iMovie in the right hand side pane. You will need first to unlock and sign in with your administrator’s password.
