Apple Watch and Iphone 6

Hi there,

I have an Iphone 6 with software version - 12.5.1 - when I try to pair my apple watch it tells me to update my software, but it's already updated. Will the watch not work with my iphone 6?

Apple Watch requires update on setup I have just bought a Apple Watch series 2. I’m trying to pair it to my iPhone XS. But am having issues getting past the update phase. to run you through the setup Pairing both Watch and iPhone (successful, they detect each other) phone states the Watch needs requires an update. No. Only watches running an OS version prior to 6.0 will.
