Apple curve stand not holding laptop.

My laptop does not stay on stand. Any advice please

Bent Macbook Pro Base MacBook Pro (retina 13-inch, 2017, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) The base (keyboard half) is slightly bent. I don’t know why or how this happened. I noticed it accidently while I was closing the laptop down. The problem is only toward the front bottom right corner that won't quite close as you can see. The display is fine. But the laptop is not stable on the desk anymore . I’m very nervous because I’m a professor and I use this laptop just for what it is (supposed to) designed for. Probably using always a case and curring it carefully in my backpack is not enough to prevent this. Should laptops bend so easily? Is there a way to fix this? Any ideas to protect it?

Apple doesn’t make stands. What stand do you have? If it’s the TwelveSouth Curve, keep in mind that according to the manufacturer it’s intended for use with an external keyboard, not for typing on the Mac’s keyboard while on the stand.

(Personally, that’s why I got the Rain Dance mBar Pro instead of the Curve.)
