My screen needs repairing or replacing

hi Community, after having a really helpful online chat with Apple support I have discovered my macbook pro needs it's screen repairing or replacing but none of the shops are open for me to get it replaced at! I am considering getting it fixed by a third party company called simplyfixit who assure the customer that they have Apple certified mac technicians and that they use the same screens as Apple. Has anyone any experience of them and can they be recommended as I really need to get a new screen for me work!! I can't really wait till the shops open again! Thank you.

Hello, madgeroonie.

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. We definitely understand needing your MacBook to stay productive at work. It sounds like you’re asking whether anyone can vouch for SimplyFixit as being a viable option to get service for your MacBook Pro. We may be able to help!

While we aren’t specifically familiar with this service provider, we also weren't able to find them in Apple's official list of service providers. We do highly encourage you to make sure you’re getting your MacBook repaired by an Apple Authorized Service Provider. If the Apple Store in your area is closed, check for other authorized providers in your area here: Apple - Find Locations

When you find a provider that you want to visit, make sure to review the guidance outlined on the Mac Repair website. It has a plethora of great information about getting ready for service.

Good luck!
