Hi Hamilton1812,


After a power failure, the computer shuts down, and therefore, logs you out.


Although not recommended due to privacy concerns, if you'd like, you can turn on Automatic Login so the password is not needed after a power failure.

Go to System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Options > Automatic Login.
