How can I download pictures from iphone to mac but as pictures and not as library?
using the Photos app, i can select the pictures to import and then it will download my pictures to a "library" and I can view them with Photos app, but i want to be able to download the pictures as list of pictures and save them in a folder such that i can transfer them later to a flash drive

In my "Image Capture" app i don't see the same options as yours.
My osx is Catalina 10.15.7
Image Capture version is "Version 8.0 (1106)"

You can use the application Image Capture which comes with Mac OS.
