I have tried resetting the NVRAM on my desktop computer and the flashing question mark file just shows up again

Question

what do I do to fix it? It won’t turn on.

Try booting into Recovery mode by using Command + R and also Option + Command + R.

If you cannot boot into Recovery mode, then the iMac has a hardware issue. You can learn about service here: Mac Repair - Official Apple Support.
