All of a sudden I am unable to download new apps from my AppStore. When I type "get" on the new app it gives me a screen with two options which are the name of the app and my account email address. Then it says to type ID to install. That's it.

Then it says to type ID to install. Since I have a fingerprint ID, I use that. Then it takes me right back to the app that I want to get. I'm stumped. Help.

Hello raykraemer,

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with downloading new apps from the App Store. If you haven't already, restart your iPhone, then try again to download an app. Restarting can resolve many odd issues: Restart your iPhone

If that doesn't help, complete these steps: If you can’t download or update apps on your iPhone or iPad

If you're still having an issue, complete these steps next, testing after each one:

  • Make sure your iPhone is fully updated. The current iOS software version is 14.4. To see what you have installed tap Settings > General > About. If an update is needed, back up your iPhone first:
  • Test using a different Wi-Fi network to rule out the network you're using. If that helps, make sure your current network is configured correctly: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
  • Check to be sure your date and time settings are correct by tapping Settings > General > Date & Time. From here, make sure "Set Automatically" is turned on, and the "Time Zone" area shows correct. If changes are made here, restart your iPhone, then try to download again.
  • If you use a VPN or security software, temporarily disable or remove those to see if that helps. If so, you'll want to work with the app developers on this more: How to contact an app developer

Let us know how it goes.

Take care.
