What does “Coverage Expired” mean?

Hi! Is that warranty or you have no cellphone coverage? I noticed my phone only has two bars and no longer works in an emergency outdoors w/o WiFi. Are they obsolescing the iPhone 7 or any network below 5G such as it is? Thanka!
