AirPods Pro and Discord issues with microphone

Hello,

I have connected my AirPods Pro with my Win10 PC. When I use it only for music, everything works great. However, when I try to use it for meetings (MS Teams, Cisco Webex, Zoom) or for playing games with my friends (Discord), I cannot have both functionality (talk and listen).

I cannot hear anyone if I have my Input set as 'AirPod Pro Hands-free', but they can hear me.

If I change this to some default 'Microphone', then I can hear everyone, but they cannot hear me.

Is this the limitation from AirPods Pro? I am kind of surprised, as there are a lot of other wireless Headsets that have no issue performing this. And to be honest.... didn't we have such Bluetooth headset for cars (speark+mic built-in) like.. 10+ years ago already?

I really hope this is some issue with my Win10 that can be fixed.

I have:

  1. Updates Win10 OS
  2. Updated Bluetooth Drivers
  3. Re-paired AirPods Pro several times

All of those have lead to no success. Is there anyone who does not have problems with those tools? I'd really like to get them to work for meeting Apps atleast.

Thanks.

David

Hello David,

We understand that you are unable to use your AirPods Pro microphone while also using them as headphones when they are connected to your Windows PC. We’d like to help however we can.

To confirm, does this only happen when you are using the AirPods Pro with your computer or does this happen with every device you pair with the AirPods Pro?

If this is only occurring with the Windows PC, then we would recommend reaching out to Microsoft to get the best assistance with using your AirPods Pro with applications in Windows.
