When I plug my iPod into my Computer it doesn't show up in iTunes or File Explore and when I check device manager the iPod is showing up as a Unknow USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed).
Any idea on what can fix this I have tried reinstalling iTunes and even a clean version of Windows 10 on my Laptop and it still shows as a Unknow Device

Are you using the version of iTunes from the Microsoft Store, or the direct download from apple.com? The driver update process is intended for use with the latter. It is important to explicitly select the driver despite Windows claiming that is already has the best driver selected.

You could try switching to the Microsoft Store version to see if that helps. Do a full tear down of Apple components first.

I am using the direct download from the apple website so I am able to select the driver file or whatever and I have tried all of the 4 options that show up and after choosing the file and it appears in device manager as a apple device without a descriptor
