Should I download the Catalina update 10.15.7 on a 2015 MacBook Air since it references the 2016/17 MacBook Pro? Thanks.

Your 2015 MacBook Air is compatible with the latest Big Sur v11.x so why would you want to go with an older version? However, 10.15.7 should work provided you don’t mind missing all the new features.
