What is the maximum opening angle for a 13-inch macbook pro?

how far can be opened safely without damaging the divice...?

Well, in theory, as far as the hinge will allow.


However, certain Mac notebooks have a flaw in the display connector design that can lead to damage upon repeated opening and closing - this was dubbed "Flexgate" by the community, due to the nature of the damage.


I'm afraid there isn't really any angle you could have the display or way of use to prevent this damage, if that is what you're worried about. Apple does, however, have a repair program for this issue should it ever affect you: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/13-inch-macbook-pro-display-backlight-service
