Ripped cds on iTunes

So I’ve always ripped cds to my MacBook Pro and synch them to my iPhone. I got Apple Music and now I can’t synch my newest ripped cd. It backups my phone and says synching but the CD will not appear on my phone.

can anyone help? Do I need to delete Apple Music to synch my cds?

iPhone 7, iOS 12

See Turn on Sync Library with Apple Music - Apple Support. When you have a subscription to either Apple Music or iTunes Match the general idea is that you enable Sync Library (AKA iCloud Music Library) in iTunes or Music and all of your devices. Music you add to your library automatically syncs to your device over the air, so you no longer need to sync over USB, or decide what to sync and what to leave out. Your device should see all of your iCloud Music Library which you can either stream or download to the device for offline use. See Identify cloud status icons in your music library on your Mac or PC - Apple Support to make sure that all of your music is showing as matched, uploaded, or purchased.
