My original itouch is broken and I can't the apple ID verification code. How can I transfer my content to my new itouch?

Actually, it's an iPod touch issue. My original iPod touch broke and I was in the process of transferring my data to my new iPod touch, but the original model stopped working and I can't get the last apple ID verification code.
