Big Sur on Late 2011 MBP (App Store offered/prompted download)

My wife’s late 2011 MBP offered a download of Big Sur. She bought it with an i7 and i upgraded her ram to 16gb and to a 1TB ssd. i dont want to fry her machine. is there now option to install on this older model from apple? thanks Kevin from NC

There is no way that Big Sur can be installed on a Late 2011 MBP. She would need a Late 2013 or newer Mac Book Pro.
