Closing an app

When I swipe up to close an app on iPhone 12, does it log me out of the account or service the app is associated with? For example, if I swipe up on the Facebook app, thereby suspending it into the background, does it leave me logged in and seen as remaining online or does that happen only when I force-kill it?

If you swipe an app up, it is basically closed. In the Facebook app, for example, this means that you will not look like you are online on Facebook. But it does not log you out of the app, so you have to enter your information again. But the Facebook app can still run in the background. However, you can turn it off:

Settings -> General -> Background App Refresh -> Find the desired app and turn it off.
