Space problems with iPad Air2

It seems that my iPad is out of space. If I try to manage the space I find that about 4 GB are occupied by "other". I've been told that they are old files that can be deleted, but I don't know how to do it. Can anybody help me?

If your internal storage is full, your only option is to better manage the storage that you have - and delete unused Apps or unneeded data.

“Offloading” Apps can be a helpful method of creating temporary space for the software update.
