Images not being deleted from card reader after being downloaded.

I am using an Apple Card reader to download images from my Nikon D750 to my iPad Pro. Once the images have been downloaded the question comes up “do I want to delete the images “ on pressing DELETE to confirm I get a circle ⭕️ in the corner that shows grey and indicates a quarter past the clock position. Sadly nothing happens after this and once I put the card back in the camera they are still showing. I then have to delete them one by one on the camera. Annoying. Anyone any idea ?

Hey ardmorechopper,

We understand you are having an issue deleting photos after importing them using an SD card reader for your iPad Pro. We'll be happy to help.

While it's unclear at this point what may be causing this process not to finish successfully, we'd suggest getting started by restarting your iPad Pro and removing the SD card, ensure the contacts are clean, and then place it back in the card reader and attempt the process again.

If the issue persists, also ensure that your iPad Pro is fully updated. To check, go to Settings > General > Software Update. For more info, check out: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We also have more on importing photos here: Import photos using Apple camera adapters

We hope this information helps out. Keep us posted on the results.

Take care!
