What is the actual viewable screen size on the Ipad Pro 12.9 current model ?
While the Apple spec on the website says screen size is 12.9 on the diagonal, it then says 'the viewable area will be less' - but does not say what it is !
H & W dimensions of the viewable area would be very helpful.

The diagonal measurement, which is correct, is further qualified as being between the corners when measured as a rectangle.
The corners of the viewable screen are slightly rounded-off from a prefect corner - thus slightly reducing the dimension of the diagonal measurement. As such, as the viewable screen does not have sharp corners, you are losing the equivalent of a few pixels from each corner.

If purchasing a new iPad, two points of advice...
1) Don’t skimp on internal storage. Choose a model with as much internal storage as your can afford. Internal storage cannot be upgraded or extended. Better to have more storage than you need, then to need more storage than you have.
2) Carefully consider your choice of WiFi Only or WiFi+Cellular model. Only the WiFi-Cellular models include GPS functionality; this has implications for any App or Service that requires accurate location information. Choosing a WiFi+Cellular model does not commit you to using Cellular, but preserves this flexibility should you later need to use it.
