Visiting mexico how to use iwatch

I am in mexico and want to be able to send and receive calls on my iwatch. It’s the newest series. I have an AT&T plan for free roaming and use here. What do I need to do for my watch to work here?

Apple Watch Cellular vs. GPS I am currently looking to purchase the series 7 apple watch. This is going to be my first ever apple watch. Why won’t my stand alone watch connect to Wi-Fi? Anyone else have a problem connecting a stand alone watch to Wi-Fi calling?

The Apple Watch cannot Roam.

It will continue to receive calls and messages as long as the paired iPhone is nearby. It will act as a GPS only watch.

Apple watch doesn't support roaming.
