Old iphone is disabled no backup

I wanted to get old pictures off of my 6S, after charging I tried logging in and struggled to remember my 4 digit passcode. After only a few attempts the phone now says "iphone is disabled connect to itunes" from what I am reading it wants me to erase my phone to reset. The whole purpose of me wanting to getting the pictures off the phone is because I do not have a backup. PLEASE HELP!!!! I have years and years worth of photos on this phone. I don't even know how this "disable" setting got turned on, I never have had any of my phones set up to disable after a few failed attempts. Any advise would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you.

iPhone 6s, iOS 11

Your only option is to do this If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support yes your data will be gone.

It isn't Apple's fault you couldn't remember the passcode, or you didn't back up your phone.

I didn't say it was Apple's fault, it's an old phone and I haven't used it in over 3 years. I was able to login into it maybe a year or so ago with no issues. This time it only gave me 3 tries to get in, normally you get at least ten I thought.

Does any else have any other suggestions?

There is no other suggestions. You proceed with the restore since your phone is disabled.

I am not going to restore if it means losing all my photos. I'm sure there is someone smarter and kinder than you who can help me. Thank you anyway @razmee209

either way if you don't restore it or leave the phone as is "disabled" you still can't access your photo.

You're SOL in getting your photos, if you never back it up, if it was important to you, you would've done it.

There is no magic to retrieve your photos.
