Don’t seem to be able to sync “calendar” or “photo stream” etc. from my new iPhone 12 (running iOS 14.4) to my older iPad mini 2 (running IPad OS 12.5). Both are connected to my iCloud account. Are they incompatible for some reason? If they should be compatible, how do I get them to start syncing? Thanks.

Problem solved. I check that all parameters were properly set. I then did a hard reboot of the iPad mini2. After that everything seemed to be syncing properly with the iPhone12 and vice-versa. This included reminders, photostream, and calendar. Thank you for your input to my query.

Just to clarify, if you added an event1 for example to your calendar on your iPhone, it won't show up on your iPad? What if you added event2 for example on your iPad, does it show up on your iPhone?
If you go to iCloud website using a web browser on your computer, and checked your calendars, do you see event1, and event2?
