The update to iOS 14.4 seems to have a massive glitch. The entire screen becomes blurred when you swipe left and try to search? Any ideas?
Basically the search function sends the entire screen to blur & is no longer useable?

I was referring to the search field at the very top of the Home Screen. Definitely unusable after the update. A power off & restart has solved it.

As soon as you as much as touched the search field the entire screen became blurred. This rendered the search function unusable.
I have since completely restarted the phone & it has resolved the problem.
I'm guessing the search box and keyboard is in focus, yes? The background is blurred when the search function is used. This is not new nor an issue.

These two don’t go together.
”Swipe left” brings up the next Home Screen.
”Try to search” is done as follows:
Use Search on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
