TikTok Unable to authorize Apple ID

I recently changed iPhones, and I haven't been able to log into TikTok with Apple ID on my new iPhone. When I try I get a message that says "Unable to authorize. Please try again." I'm still able to log in successfully on my Mac and old iPhone, but not my new iPhone.

I contacted TikTok support and was informed the issue was with Apple:

"Right now there is an update going on with the Apple ID log in method."

"The update for login issues you are experiencing is with Apple. Since this lives with Apple and not TikTok you will need to reach out to Apple directly for further assistance."

Is there a way to resolve this?

Thanks!

Hello RadApple42,

We understand that you're encountering an error when attempting to connect to TikTok using the Sign in with Apple method. Details about how to do so, along with some troubleshooting, can be found here: How to use Sign in with Apple - Apple Support

Per that article, "You need to be signed in with your Apple ID in System Preferences > Apple ID on your Mac or Settings > [your name] on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. You also need two-factor authentication turned on." Since this is a new iPhone, just be sure that you're signed in there.

Also, if your iPhone was restored from a backup, we'd recommend deleting the TikTok app and installing it fresh to ensure the app is functioning properly.

Hi kareng12,

Thank you for your reply.

I am signed in to my Apple ID on my phone, and I do have two-factor authentication turned on (as I have been all along).

I did not restore from a backup. However, I did delete the TikTok app and install it fresh after encountering this error, and that did not resolve the issue.

I'm still in need of a fix for this error, and would be appreciate any helpful insight.

Thanks!
