So your question is not "What operating system should I download for Zoom?" but rather, why isn't Zoom in Safari working and can I install another browser? I think Safari should be working. Check your sound settings on your computer on in the Zoom window.

What model/year computer?
No sound and message listing a number of alternative systems eg. Chrome

It is about 5 years old. All updates have been done.
