I have an AppleTV Gen 3 (model 1469). The current Software version is noted as 7.6.2. I have tried to update the software but the feedback is that the system is up to date. I know it is not. Please advise if you can assist in updating

Version 7.6.2 is in fact the latest firmware available for the 3rd gen Apple TV. The other would be TVOS 14.4 and that only runs on the Apple TV HD (4th gen) and 4K (5th gen) and it is a completely different system.
