How do I enable activation lock on M1 MacBook Pro?

I tried the obvious like toggling Find My Mac off and checked the security policy to see that it's full security.

Hi markbyrn,

Activation Lock should automatically be enabled when Find My Mac is on.

Try these steps:

  1. Open System Information (to the page shown in your screenshot).
  2. In System Preferences, sign out of your Apple ID.
  3. In System Information, press Command-R to refresh the info shown. Activation Lock should now be disabled.
  4. Now, sign back into your Apple ID and enable Find My Mac.
  5. Refresh the info shown in System Information again (Command-R). Activation Lock should now be enabled.

If Activation Lock still isn't enabled after this, please let me know.
