processor upgrade for iMacs
I have a late 2015, 27 inch iMac and want to explore upgrading the processor (i5) with an Intel i7 processor. Is this even possible?

No, iMac's are not upgradable like tower systems.
If you want or need better spec's, then you will need to buy a new or newer Mac with those spec's.

as far as i know, no there are no options for changing the CPU in an iMac.
