I tried to log into my iCloud (definitely the correct account, I confirmed multiple times with correspondence to and from other email addresses) and someone had changed the birthday and phone number associated with it so I can no longer access my old data or photos. This is highly distressing. This is regarding an iPhone I used to have and my MacBook Pro.
Did you revealed all information Apple ID address and its password , three answers for respective questions , date of birth , rescue mail address and its password to that person for the secondary authentication set up in iPhone / Mac .
Where are those devices iPhone / Mac are they with you or lost or gifted to that person .
It depends what account information you revealed to that person and he has full control of account and devices , if the scenarios match then it seems impossible , contacting apple support might get some help .Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security - Apple Support
Fully understand your dilemma, so I’ve been reading up on how to correct and fight back at who has been attacking mine. Think back to any new friendships you may have developed lately & if you’re still speaking to that person. Does anything occur to your phone shortly after you’ve chatted with that individual? These are things I’ve noticed on my phone, my appleID account and I’ve been reading how to counter those attacks. The more you learn how to counter attack the more you learn about your device and other tech stuff.
Someone stole my iCloud account and changed all of the log in information and I can’t access photos from years ago
